This role requires the successful candidate to liaise with the Home Manager with accurate and timely analysis of budgets, forecasts, controls and other financial performance related activity.
Aiming to maximise and improve the quality of life of every resident, you will make certain that everyone feels settled, supported and involved day to day. As an Abbeyfield Housekeeper you will provide daily management of the house to check on residents with morning call, daily premises inspection sheet, prepare and cook lunch and tea; to co-ordinate house staff / window cleaner / gardener if required. To ensure a full handover notes documented in the kitchen / confidential diary after each shift. To contact the Senior House Manager of any individual needs or risks that may have been identified during your shift.
You will ensure that appropriate cover is maintained while monitoring closely the health and welfare of our residents. The successful candidate will have an understanding of the needs of older people, experience of working with the public and an ability to work on own initiative. It is essential that you are a competent cook. A Food Hygiene Certificate qualification would be desirable however this training can be undertaken when in post during working hours; it will also be necessary to complete an in house First Aid course and other health and safety courses such as practical fire training.
