    We are currently recruiting for Bank staff across all Abbeyfield The Dales sites, and in numerous roles:

    • Care Assistant
    • Senior Care Assistant
    • Kitchen Assistant
    • Chef
    • Domestic Assistant

    Joining our team as a member of Bank staff allows you to be flexible with your working hours, giving you the option to choose how much or how little you work, and when.

    Bank staff have no contracted hours, and will be called upon to cover annual leave, sickness and other busy periods within the business. Bank staff are paid at the same excellent rates of pay as permanent members of staff, and accrue annual leave per hours worked.

    As a Bank member of staff, you have the option to work at any of our Abbeyfield The Dales sites across West and North Yorkshire, which include:

  • Domestic Assistant

    Location: Grove House, Ilkley
    Hours: 16 hours per week
    Salary: £9.00 per hour

    We are currently looking to recruit a Domestic Assistant, 16 hours per week, to join our friendly team at Grove House, Ilkley.

    Working Monday to Friday the hours will be as follows:

    Monday – 4hrs, 8.00am to 12 noon, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday – 3 hours per day from 8.00am to 11am.

    Salary:  £9.00 per hour.

    As a Domestic Assistant, your role will be to maintain a clean environment in all areas, to maximise resident’s comfort and enjoyment of their surroundings. You will help to ensure that all communal areas are clean and tidy at all times, and to required standards, and that all work is carried out with regard to the resident’s rights.

    An understanding of cleanliness, hygiene and how to clean to a high standard is vital to this role, as is the ability to work well as a part of a team.

  • Senior Care Assistant

    Location: Ing Royde, Halifax
    Hours: 36 hours per week (on average)
    Salary: £10.66 per hour

    We would like to recruit a Senior Care Assistant to join our friendly team at Abbeyfield The Dales, Ing Royde, Broomfield Avenue, Saville Park, Halifax.

    The role is 36 hours per week (on average) working 4 days then 2 days, on a rota basis, which will include working alternate weekends.

    The shifts are as follows:

    Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday and Sunday – 7:00am to 7:00pm

    Week 2: Monday and Tuesday – 7:00am to 7:00pm

    As a Senior Care Assistant, you will lead our small team to provide care and support to our residents, within the scheme at Ing Royde, Saville Park.

    Your role will be to supervise and participate in the delivery of care to the residents, taking the lead on the responsibility of residents individual care documentation, following a person centred approach. In this role, you will provide effective leadership for care staff.

    Working closely and effectively as a team, you will ensure that residents physical, social, intellectual and emotional needs are met and ensuring dignity, choice, independence and respect.

    To be able to communicate and interact well with people is essential for this role, as is an understanding and empathy for the needs of older people.

    Minimum of 3 years experience and NVQ Level 3 is essential.
