    We are currently recruiting for Bank staff across all Abbeyfield The Dales sites, and in numerous roles:

    Joining our team as a member of Bank staff allows you to be flexible with your working hours, giving you the option to choose how much or how little you work, and when.

    Bank staff have no contracted hours, and will be called upon to cover annual leave, sickness and other busy periods within the business. Bank staff are paid at the same excellent rates of pay as permanent members of staff, and accrue annual leave per hours worked.

  • Senior House Manager

    Location: Settle & Barnoldswick
    Hours: 20 hours per week

    We are recruiting for a Senior House Manager to oversee our Settle and Barnoldswick sites working 20 hours per week over three days but willing to be flexible about hours worked.

    The sites provide Supported Accommodation for the over 55’s delivering two home cooked meals per day by on-site staff in an informal setting. These are small sites providing studio accommodation of 11 & 12 units set in a beautiful part of the world and managing a small well established supportive staff team.

    The main duties are:

    To develop services that are accessible to the diverse population of older adults living in the community, support residents to sustain their tenancy and live as independently as possible in the community.

    To oversee the management of the house(s) to ensure they are run efficiently and offer value for money to residents.

  • Care Assistant - Part Time

    Location: Woodlands, Skipton
    Salary: £9.00 per hour

    We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic part time Care Assistant to join our friendly team at Woodlands, Skipton.

    Shift patterns are on a two weekly rota working every other weekend with the opportunity to pick up extra shifts across all sites.

    Woodlands is an extra care scheme with 31 apartments housing residents aged 65 to 100 some of whom are independent and others who require various levels of support.

    We are looking for a Care Assistant with the same values as Abbeyfield The Dales: Caring, Open, Honest and Respectful. We want someone who is passionate about ensuring our residents are supported to feel secure, cared for and valued and we want you to help us enrich their lives. Our resident’s well being is at the centre of everything we do.

    Working both as part of a team but also you will need to work independently where necessary you will participate in the delivery of care to the residents to ensure that their physical, social, intellectual and emotional needs are met and ensuring dignity, choice, independence and respect.

    To be able to communicate and interact well with people is essential for this role, as is an understanding and empathy for the needs of older people.

    NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care would be desirable but is not essential.

    Opportunities are available to pick up extra shifts across all Abbeyfield The Dales sites should you wish to pick up extra hours (covering annual leave, sickness and busy periods, as shifts become available) though extra hours can not be guaranteed.

    Location: Woodlands, Skipton and Ing Royde, Halifax
    Hours: 30 hours per week (4 days)
    Salary: £10.07 per hour

    We are currently recruiting for a Chef to join our small, friendly teams at Abbeyfield The Dales Woodlands in Skipton and Ing Royde in Halifax.

    Working across both sites, this is a part-time position of 30 hours per week              (4 days,) with hours split evenly across the two sites, on a rota basis (rota to be discussed) as follows:

    2 x 7.5 hour shifts at Woodlands, Skipton

    2 x 7.5 hour shifts at Ing Royde, Halifax

    We are looking for a Chef who can work as a part of a team, as well as independently. Who believes in our values; is caring, honest, open and respectful, and who will put the needs and food requirements of our residents at the centre of everything that they do.

    Your main duty will be to prepare and cook a lunch time three course meal, with meat, fish and vegetarian options. Additional duties will include helping with Summer and Christmas fayres, other events and birthday parties. You should also have the ability to converse with our residents and to offer alternatives if there is nothing on the menu that they want (within reason.)

    Flexibility and a willingness to help cover the kitchen when the other Chef is sick or on annual leave is vital. There are also opportunities to provide cover at any of our other sites, to help ensure seamless continuity of the delivery of good, healthy food to residents.

    You should be available to attend all necessary training, and ensure that all staff are kept up to date with any current information also.
